Former Clients & Collaborators Say
“Erin is seriously one of the best editors I’ve ever worked with. From start to finish, she’s a consummate professional who reminds me of why I love creative writing. I especially admire her sensitivity when reading manuscripts, scrutinizing not only the fine details, but also the overall impact of a message. Editing creative writing is a challenging feat, especially because of the emotional resonance literature provides. Erin is the perfect person for the job.”
—Dorothy Chan, author of BABE (Diode Editions, 2021), assistant professor at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, co-founder of Honey Literary
"Erin is a skilled editor who pays attention to the details but doesn't lose sight of the big picture. As an editor of my book, Samsung Rising, from Crown, she did an incredible job helping transform the complex material into smooth, readable prose. I'd recommend her to anyone who needs a top-notch editor for their manuscripts and articles."
—Geoffrey Cain, author of Samsung Rising (Crown, 2020) and The Perfect Police State (PublicAffairs, 2021)
“I absolutely lucked out in having Erin Little not only read, but thoroughly edit my novel manuscript. With her background in the New York publishing world, literary journal editing, and contemporary literature, she's a brilliant editor who is able to see the vision of the work and make line edits that improve the writing. She's conscientious, highly organized, and fast at what she does. But even better, she has an infectious enthusiasm that makes working with her a joy, and helps reinvigorate the writer. Anyone who is feeling stuck—whether you need a book "coach" to talk things through, or an intense copyedit to prepare for the next step—should turn to Erin. I guarantee you'll be grateful that you did!”
—Kristin D. Sanders, freelance writer, editor & author of CUNTRY (Trembling Pillow Press, 2017)
“Erin Little worked for me as my assistant for two and a half years, writing book descriptive copy, working directly with my authors, responding to their concerns, ideas, input, and helping to make the books I publish more polished, poised and successful editorially and in the marketplace. She is also a discerning reader of proposals and manuscripts, and a gifted writer. She is smart, personable, and motivated in all the best ways.”
—Roger Scholl, former manager & executive editor, Crown, an imprint of Random House Publishing Group
"After a while away from the world of writing, I knew that I needed an editor's loving and discerning eye on my new attempts. Erin, as she always does, came through beautifully. Like all good editorial work, her immensely helpful comments were a reminder that encouragement and honesty are not mutually exclusive. She was attuned to and helpful with every aspect of the poems, from individual word choices to the larger, ever-present questions of shape and structure. I am confident that these pieces would not have found their final form, nor their ultimate publication, without Erin!"
—Mason Walker, writer, educator, counselor & soon-to-be-published poet
“Erin is a prompt, attentive copy editor with a knack for clarity and tone. Her comments and revisions demonstrate how she values the relationship between the author and their readers. I appreciated Erin's ability to interpret the unusual subject of my academic writing in order to ensure it would be understood by a broad audience and I would certainly work with her again.”
— Bobby Schweizer, theme park researcher & assistant professor of English at Texas Tech
